Sean David Morton, PhD, left this mortal realm on December 18, 2024, after a long and valiant fight against cancer. He was a visionary researcher, author, filmmaker, and lecturer whose lifelong mission was to explore the mysteries of our world and inspire humanity toward greater awareness.

He was born on October 1, 1958, in Santa Monica, California. Sean was a writer for most of his life and won national competitions for writing and poetry while attending Woodside High School in Woodside, California. His lifelong pursuit of knowledge led him to study around the world, including time in Canada, India, Nepal, Egypt, and England at Oxford University. As a teenager he traveled throughout the Middle East and attended school in Egypt. He later studied at Stanford University and earned degrees in Political Science and Fine Arts from the University of Southern California.
Sean spent time living at a Tibetan Sangha and working at a children’s orphanage in Dharmsala, India, where he studied with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He also lived as a novitiate monk at a monastery in T’ang Boyche, Nepal.
Throughout his life Sean lectured and taught internationally, speaking in Japan, Sweden, Holland, Canada, England, Ireland, and Turkey, as well as at conferences throughout the United States and around the world. His investigations into military black operations, classified government programs, Dulce Mesa, and Area 51 brought him international recognition as one of America’s leading futurists. He reported on major mysteries including the Phoenix Lights, the Chupacabra phenomenon, and controversial events surrounding flights TWA 800, MH370, and MH17, as well as the deaths of Princess Diana and John F. Kennedy Jr.

A pioneer in the field of Remote Viewing, which he also taught professionally, Sean was famously referred to as “America’s Prophet” by legendary Coast to Coast AM host Art Bell. He became one of the program’s most frequent and popular guests, reaching global audiences of more than twenty six million listeners. Among his most widely discussed predictions were the events of September 11, which he spoke about as early as 1994, as well as the 1987 Loma Prieta earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Northridge earthquake in California, and the Kobe earthquake in Japan.
Sean was also an award winning independent filmmaker. He wrote and directed documentaries including UFO Contactees and The Prophecy of the Pyramids, and he wrote and directed the cult comedy film Joe Killionaire.

His work in media included roles as a television reporter, writer, producer, and consultant for programs such as Sightings, Hard Copy, Strange Universe, Geraldo, Ancient Aliens, and Unsolved Mysteries. He also contributed to early science fiction and paranormal television programming, working on projects connected with networks such as the Sci Fi Channel and UPN/CW, including shows like Declassified and Mysteries From Beyond the Other Dominion.

For seventeen years Sean published the award winning Delphi Associates Newsletter and led The Prophecy Research Institute, an organization dedicated to researching global trends, prophetic traditions, and future events. His beloved Strange Universe Radio program became one of the most widely listened to independent talk shows on the internet, reaching millions of listeners around the world.
Sean was also a prolific author. His works include the Vatican spy thrillers The Black Seraph Chronicles and The Dark Prophet, as well as the bestselling Sands of Time novel series, which has received numerous five star reviews from readers worldwide.

Throughout his life Sean pursued a tireless mission to expand human understanding, investigate the unknown, and work toward the enlightenment of all sentient beings. His work sought to illuminate the mysteries of our world and inspire humanity toward greater awareness and spiritual evolution.

His voice, vision, and spirit live on through the countless people he inspired, the knowledge he shared, and the work that continues in his name.

"Sean’s life was dedicated to seeking truth, exploring the mysteries of our universe, and helping humanity awaken to a greater understanding of who we are and why we are here. It was a great honor to walk beside him on that journey. Sean entrusted me with continuing his work, preserving his writings, and carrying forward the legacy of his research and teachings. I remain deeply committed to sharing his discoveries with the world and ensuring that his voice, vision, and mission continue to inspire future generations."
